The class website will remain available after the course is over so that students can continue to experiment.
Instructor: Michael Askins is a software engineer and has worked at Apple, NASA’s Ames Research Center and the De Anza College Planetarium.

INTRODUCTION TO SCRATCH PROGRAMMING (Grades 2 through 5)
In this course, each chapter walks students through programming a single game, and programming concepts are explained as they come up. Students will start by sketching
out what the final game will look like, then planning and coding the main parts of the program. This course provides a hands-
on, problem-solving approach to learn programming and related concepts in computer science. With this approach, we hope to cultivate students’ imaginations and make the computer-programming experience accessible.
Instructor: Eya Badal is a software engineer and working on an advanced degree in engineering.
Class Requirements: Tablet or laptop with a USB port and internet capability
